Weddings, Baptisms and Ceremonies

WEDDING & BAPTISM CEREMONIES

As the Church of Saint John The Evangelist as well as the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon, Weddings, Baptisms and some other special ceremonies are also performed for the Parishioners in accordance with the rules laid out by The Church In Wales. Some ceremonies may also be performed for families living outside of the Parish and can be discussed by contacting The Dean of Brecon Cathedral at the Cathedral Office.

The cathedral can also be used for other ceremonies such as Silver and Golden Wedding Anniversaries Celebrations

THE MEADOW. There is a large grass area at the rear of the Cathedral overlooking the Brecon Beacons and the historic market town.  This has been used in the past for Wedding Receptions with a marquee.  In 2010 The Dean's daughter was married here and held her reception in this way...
